About the Author(s)

Series editor and author Lawrence Kobilinsky, Ph.D., is a professor of forensics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a member of New York’s Council for Science Education. He has been actively involved in introducing the study of forensics to the New York City school system's criminal justice Program.

Louis Levine, Ph.D., Columbia University, has specialized in forensic genetics consulting for 15 years and has participated in more than 80 cases. He is an expert panel member of the Assigned Counsel Plan of the City of New York and has been consulted in cases by the office of the public defender of Maryland and of New Jersey, as well as by the Innocence Project at the Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School of Yeshiva University.

Henrietta Margolis-Nunno, Ph.D., J.D., is assistant professor of molecular biology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
